WASHINGTON - The brilliant colors and panoramic landscapes of the Grand Canyon will be the backdrop as the United States Mint and National Park Service introduce the fourth coin in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. The new quarter-dollar coin, featuring Grand Canyon National Park, will be officially presented at a ceremony on September 21 at 1:30 p.m. (MST), on the park's South Rim, between Hopi House and Verkamp's Visitor Center.
WASHINGTON - Collectors may begin ordering James Buchanan's Liberty First Spouse Gold Coin at noon Eastern Time on September 2, 2010. The one-half ounce 24-karat gold coin, struck at the United States Mint at West Point, will be available in proof and uncirculated qualities.
Lancaster, Pa. - Beginning August 19, the Nation will see Presidential $1 coins bearing the image of James Buchanan, the Nation's 15th President. To commemorate the release of the new coin, the United States Mint hosted a launch ceremony on the grounds of Wheatland, Buchanan's beloved home, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

WASHINGTON - The United States Mint will accept orders for rolls of James Buchanan Presidential $1 Coins starting noon Eastern Time (ET) August 19, at its online catalog, http://www.usmint.gov/catalog. The rolls, priced at $35.95 each, contain 25 circulating quality coins that were struck on the main production floors of the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia or Denver. The coins are wrapped in specially designed packaging that displays the mint of origin (P or D), the face value of the contents ($25) and the United States Mint logo.

WASHINGTON - The United States Mint today announced that it will begin sales of the one-ounce 2010 American Eagle Platinum Proof Coin at noon Eastern Time (ET) on August 12, 2010. The 2010 coin features the second reverse (tails side) design in the six-year "Preamble Series" program introduced in 2009. The program commemorates the core concepts of American democracy by featuring the six principles of the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution. The 2010 coin design is emblematic of the theme "To Establish Justice," the second principle found in the Preamble.
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. - United States Mint Director Ed Moy, joined by National Park Service officials, today introduced to the Nation the new quarter honoring Yosemite National Park in California. The coin's reverse (tails side) design features the iconic El Capitan, the largest granite monolith in the world.
WASHINGTON - The United States Mint will offer America the Beautiful QuartersTM bags and rolls, containing quarter-dollar coins honoring Yosemite National Park in California, beginning at noon Eastern Time (ET) on July 26. The coins, minted at the United States Mint facilities at Denver and at Philadelphia, will be available in two-roll sets priced at $32.95 each and 100-coin bags priced at $35.95 each. The two-roll sets contain one roll each of 40 coins bearing the P and D mint marks, wrapped in distinctive packaging displaying the name "Yosemite," the abbreviation "CA" for California, the mint of origin and "$10," the face value of its contents. The canvas 100-coin bags bear tags denoting their mint of origin, "Yosemite," "CA" and "$25," the total value of their contents.
WASHINGTON - Two of the United States Mint's most popular annual sets will be available for purchase in July. The 2010 United States Mint Uncirculated Set®, priced at $31.95, will be available on July 15; and the 2010 United States Mint Proof Set®, priced at $31.95, will be available on July 22. Both sets include the first five commemorative quarter-dollar coins in the America the Beautiful QuartersTM Program, honoring Hot Springs National Park (Arkansas), Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming), Yosemite National Park (California), Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona), and Mount Hood National Forest (Oregon). The sets also include four Presidential $1 Coins, honoring Presidents Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan and Abraham Lincoln; one Native American $1 Coin; one Kennedy half-dollar coin; one Jefferson 5-cent coin; one Roosevelt dime coin; and one Lincoln one-cent coin.
Washington, DC - The United States Mint and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) are teaming up to encourage regular use of $1 coins in everyday cash transactions at military exchanges. Retailers at Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; and Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base and the Air Force Academy in Colorado have been selected by AAFES to participate in a $1 coin launch initiative to begin on July 4. The goal of the initiative is to expand $1 coin usage to all 1,703 AAFES locations throughout the country. Exchanges are retail stores located on military bases and facilities that serve active duty and retired members of the Armed Forced and their families.

WASHINGTON - The United States Mint will begin accepting orders for the Franklin Pierce $1 Coin Cover at noon Eastern Time (ET) on July 1, 2010. The limited-edition coin cover, priced at $15.95, includes two circulating quality Franklin Pierce Presidential $1 Coins from the first day of mintage - March 8, 2010, for the United States Mint at Philadelphia, and March 1, 2010, for the United States Mint at Denver. The two coins are mounted on a handsome display card with a 44-cent postage stamp. The postmark of May 20, 2010, marks the day the circulating Franklin Pierce Presidential $1 Coins were first released to the public.

WASHINGTON - The United States Mint today announced the America the Beautiful Quarters Bulk Purchase Program. The minimum purchase requirement under the program is one (1) bulk bag, which contains 200,000 coins with a total value of $50,000. A three percent processing fee of $1,500 per bulk bag will be applied to each order to offset the cost of the program. In addition to the processing fee, purchasers must arrange for pickup from either the United States Mint at Philadelphia or at Denver. A properly licensed commercial carrier is required to retrieve the coins.
